Retarder prolongs the time it takes for cement slurry to thicken, allowing for more time to pump it, which is crucial for a successful cementing operation.
The time it takes for cement slurry to thicken is directly proportional to the amount of retarder added.
The strength of the set cement develops rapidly, ensuring that the top of the sealing section does not become overly thickened.
The product can be used at temperatures below 150°C (302°F, BHCT).
It has good compatibility with polymer fluid loss additives and has a minimal impact on fluid loss performance at high temperatures.
The CH610 series includes L-type liquid, L-A type antifreeze liquid, and S type powder.
The recommended dosage for liquid products is 2.0-8.0% (BWOC), while for powder products it is 0.5-2.5% (BWOC).
CH610 HT POLYMER RETARDER
WHY CHOOSE CH610 RETARDER
Retarder helps extend the thickening time of cement slurry in order to keep it pumpable, which, therefore, ensures sufficient pumping time for a safe cementing project.
Use below 150℃(302℉,BHCT).
Predictable Linear Control: The thickening time has a direct linear relationship with the dosage, making slurry design highly predictable and reducing laboratory trial-and-error.
Right-Angle Thickening (RAT): Achieves a "Right-Angle" consistency curve, ensuring a sudden set after the desired pumping time, which is critical for preventing gas migration.
No Over-retardation: While providing sufficient bottom-hole time, it ensures the top of the cement column develops strength rapidly, preventing "wet shoe" or long WOC.
Additive Synergy: Specially designed to work alongside polymer fluid loss additives without degrading their performance at high temperatures.
Extreme Stability: Maintains consistent performance even in complex slurries containing silica flour and silica fume.
CH610 series contains of L-type liquid, L-A type anti-freezing liquid and S type powder.
Recommended dosage is 2.0-8.0 (BWOC) for liquid products, and 0.5-2.5% (BWOC) for powder product.

Optimizing HPHT Slurry Design:
When working at 150℃ (302℉), the synergy between your retarder and fluid loss additive is the difference between a successful job and a catastrophic failure. CH610 is engineered to maintain its molecular integrity alongside HT polymers, ensuring that your filtration control doesn't break down just as the cement begins to set. For projects involving silica flour (35%) and silica fume (6%), CH610 provides the stable rheology needed for high-density deep well cementing.
